Saving time may not be as easy as adjusting your clock, but here are a few tips that really will help you save time, each day, every day.

  1. Do just one thing at a time. There’s a lot of time wasted by going back and forth between tasks.
  2. Set a timer and focus. When the time’s up, get up and take a quick walk even if it’s just around your desk. You’ll feel like you got something accomplished and will be refreshed to continue or start on the next task.
  3. Check email on your terms. Decide on times each day you’ll check and process emails, instead of letting them constantly interrupt you.

A Thought to Ponder

“Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. And because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creatures endures. A fear of time running out.”

From the time keeper, by Mitch Albom
